Mariah Carey 瑪麗亞凱莉分別在1995, 1997, 2001年九月發行了 "Daydream 夢遊仙境"、"Butterfly 美麗花蝴蝶"、
和"Glitter 星光閃閃"。這三張專輯見證了Mariah生涯的高峰(Daydream)和低谷(Glitter)。
Daydream 更是我購買Mariah專輯的開始，當時小六的我，到了1996年的5/6月才買了她的卡帶，
1997年九月則是第一時間就收藏了Butterfly。
2001年的"Glitter"也非第一時間購買，直到2002.12月的Charmbracelet發行後，才回頭尋找這張專輯。
由於Glitter同名電影口碑和票房失利，連帶影響到這張同名專輯的銷售，
甫加盟的EMI唱片更是堅持付違約金與Mariah提早解約，多重打擊下據報導Mariah罹患了躁鬱症住進精神療養院。
不過不服輸的她就在隔年加盟環球唱片強勢復出。
今年適逢911事件二十周年，也是"Glitter"專輯發行的20周年紀念，
回頭去聽這張專輯，仍不乏動聽的曲目: 如"Lead the way"、"Reflections"、"Never too far"。
當時專輯側標的形容"黑暗的天空才看得見星光閃閃 跌倒的心才能唱出真情的靈魂"
如今讀起來依舊十足動人，用來形容Mariah後來的際遇更是貼切不過。
