96年第一次購買瑪麗亞凱莉的專輯"Daydream"，當時即被其厲害的R&B唱腔和轉音所深深吸引，
後來又連續購買了她的"Butterfly"(97年)、"#1s"(98年)和"Rainbow"(99年)...等唱片，
成為她的忠實聽眾，也曾在2014年參加她在台北南港展覽館所舉辦的演唱會。
"Hero"是收錄在93年發行的"Musicbox"專輯中、當時也獲得告示牌排行榜單曲冠軍。
其實自己第一次聆聽"Hero"這首曲子是在"#1s"這張集結billboard冠軍單曲輝煌成績的專輯中，
非常喜歡這首歌曲，主要是歌詞填得特別勵志、鼓勵人們遇到挫折不放棄、在人生低潮時勇敢面對，
並多聆聽心靈內在的聲音、找尋那個屬於自己的英雄。
這首歌曲在我人生中的兩次大考都起了很大的鼓舞振奮作用，
但更令我難以忘懷的是，二十年前父親往生時，這首歌曲帶給我非常大的安定力量，
令我不再懼怕、勇敢地繼續走下去。還記得當時還在週記中特別抄寫了這首歌的歌詞、並加上心得，
那時就折服於這首歌曲巨大的力量、每每唱著內心就跟著勇敢強大了起來。
再一次領略到這首歌的力量是在服兵役時，時常被要求嚴格的訓練而內心非常懼怕痛苦時，
想起"Hero"歌詞並哼唱、心中就產生力量、進而勇敢堅強起來，
非常佩服演唱者、同時也是本曲的創作者瑪麗亞凱莉、
